Miss France in Juliette’s TV show

Tuesday, March 23rd, 2010

I interviewed Miss France 2010 Malika Menard and Genevieve de Fontenay in the last episode of Paris Paris at the beautiful Hotel de Crillon.

Malika wants to become a journalist. She is not sure about her stay in Paris next year. She comes from Normandie and thinks that she will go back after the end of her title.

Genevieve de Fontenay is a very charismatic woman. She is taking care of Malika as her own daughter and makes sure that she represents France at her best.

Etam Fashion show at the Ritz in Paris

Thursday, February 18th, 2010

I was in Paris for the Haute Couture Fashion week and we covered the Etam Fashion show at the Ritz .The collection was designed by Natalia Vodianova, the Russian Supermodel. Very sexy and romantic. All the French actresses where present and the show was followed by a private concert by Charlotte Gainsbourg!

After interviewing  Audrey Marnay, Melanie Laurent, Olga Kurylenko, Zoe Felix, Karine Roitfeld, Rossy de Palma, Eva Herzigova, Beatrice Dalle…here are some of the questions I asked them:

*Cotton panties or sexy thong ?

*Sexy laces and see through or comfortable underwear ?

*Lingerie is a must or are dresses a bigger priority ?

*Do you buy your lingerie alone or share the experience with your partner ?

They all share the same  love for feminine and delicate lingerie which brings out the sexy in a woman.

I will post the special Paris Haute Couture Fashion week TV show in one week in the TV show part of my website.Look out for the Etam sequence.

Behind the scene pictures for the Paris episodes

Wednesday, January 6th, 2010

Welcome to the Paris Paris TV show and the backstage best moments of the shoot.

The first day I met Rebecca Hampton in her favorite shoe store in Paris, we had a  very delightful interview. Her TV show “La vie est belle” on F3 channel is viewed daily by an audience of 3 million.

Then I went to the most fashionable store in Paris, I wasn’t too familiar with their products but I learned the historic of the brand and discovered how trendy these candles were! They are Madonna’s favorites, Gossip girls use them exclusively in their TV show. They are the best for decoration with as many colors as you want! Cire Trudon is the name. You can find limited editions at my favorite design store: Fleux.

Here is the special collection for Fleux

In term of design Fleux is exactly the kind of store I would love to find in NY. The perfect mix of several designers from all over the world ( mainly Italian, Dutch, Belgian and French). The store offeres a mix of decorative accessories for all budgets, you will find collector pieces or just original presents.

After the interior design, let’s go to St Germain for a “pause gourmande” with Lush. You could think you are going to eat everything you see but in fact they are all bath products! It’s an original concept, very girly and bubbly.

My favorite product is the fizzing ball for the bath (vanilla perfume or apple) just be careful because it leaves marks in your bath, difficult to take out after you used one. But your skin will smell like a candy and you will experience a back massage, so relaxing!

Will end the day with some fashion: my favorite gloves Causse. Karl Lagarfled only wear them, they are either very trendy with embellishment, fun colors or just very chic and classic with a very good quality of leather.

Gloves are the new must have accessory. They will really give you an edge.

The store is very small but you can find gloves for any style and generation.

SECOND DAY of shooting we are stuck in a snow storm! But we are filming!

I am going to the “Droguerie” a place where you can make your own jewelry, you can customize some of your old clothes with the 100 different sorts of buttons, pearls, patches…

This place is a paradise for anyone creative and if not their is a very nice professional team to help you out.

Next, I went to the favorite store of the hip mothers of Paris: “Mon cadeau prefere”. The owners, ex journalists, Sandra and Sophie are the best to help you personalize the gift for any baby shower.

They help you become creative, rearrange your kids room with the colors you prefer according to your favorite design. They really introduced new flashy colors in the baby world which is new compared to light blue and pale pink colors usually used for baby accessories or clothes.

Let me introduce you the Queen of the extensions in Paris at the best quality and best price: Rachel Luxury salon in the 18th district.

According to your hair color you can pick up the exact same hair extensions and look natural without any hair problem!

I am so happy to be able to interview the queen of the Fashion industry Maria Luisa!

It’s the dream of any designer to be in her store, she has a very exquisite taste and just opened a store  at the Printemps in Paris. She knows how to find creative and wearable international designers and mix them all together.

We finished the day at Arty Dandy, a new store, so trendy in the middle of St Germain.

The store is a mix between an Art Gallery and a concept store where you can find unique pieces from $5 up to $7000 for the experts.

THIRD DAY of shooting:

Let’s meet Vincent in his new store at La Maison Darre.

Vincent worked with Karl Lagarfeld for 10 years, Emmanuel Ungaro…he is an expert in fashion and finally decided to have his own store of interior design following his mind and inspiration. Every piece is collector, limited edition. You have to experience a private tour by Vincent himself!

What is the tea brand everybody is talking about now?

Here we are in the new store next to the Place Vendome: Kusmi tea. I will interview the owner on the right.

I fell in love with the packaging, their different flavors, their marketing concept, it’s fun and colorful!

My favorite are the Almonds green tea, the Detox and Be Cool!

I am going to meet the French singer Slimy in Jean Charles de Castelbajac’s store because he is in love with his designs that he is wearing most of the time for his concerts.

Jean Charles de Castelbajac is welcoming us in his private studio in order to explain us his feeling about the next trends and how he finds his inspiration.

The Parisian shoots are over now. I am going back to Paris at the end of January to cover the Haute Couture Fashion shows, see you then!

THE END.

Behind the scene pictures for the NY NY episodes

Tuesday, January 5th, 2010

We filmed in October, with an amazing weather, so lucky!

Here are some backstage pictures, fun moments and trendy locations i wanted to share with you:

I was walking by the Paracelso store for the last seven years on West Browadway wondering what it was. We were shooting next door so I finally decided to get in. I met the owner Luxor and asked her if we could film and interview her. She agreed but she wanted us to buy something. I had the hardest time finding a piece I liked.

As you can see the decor is a mix of clothes from each country she traveled to, pages of magazines, drawings… She always wears the same make up otherwise she feels naked.

She is a very funny woman, with a lot of personality. She believes in angels, told me i had one on my shoulder who was taking care of me. It’s good to know I am being taken care of !

So the famous store next to it is Top Jean. You will be able to find around 50 different fabrics in order to create your fitted jean. You can also buy some already made in the store. They have a selection of leather jackets for men and women very unique ! This place became well known because all the Hollywood actors who were wearing their jeans. The also have a store next to Jeffreys in the Meat Packing district.

Let me introduce you know to the most sexy and funny hairdresser in NY, Edward at Warren Tricomi in the Plaza. He is taking care of all the major shows for Fashion week, knows most of the famous actresses as he also has a hair salon in Los Angeles and he is taking care of the Golden Globes and Oscars.
